Explorers

Explorer Scouts are young people, aged between 14 and 18 years old. They make up the fourth Section of the Scouting family; the newest and fastest growing section in Scouting. With a programme based around 8 ‘zones’, it offers Explorer Scouts the opportunity to go that little bit further & push that little bit harder; experiencing new challenges & adventures, learning new skills and having fun!

Explorers are organized on a district basis, and scouts from the 1st Hardwick & Highfields troop normally go on to the Wildcat Unit of the Crafts Hill District Explorers, who have their own web site at http://www.craftshillexplorers.org.uk/

The Wildcat explorer unit meets in Hardwick on Wednesday evenings in term time between 7:30 and 9:30pm, but members are welcome to participate in meetings of any Craft Hill unit, and many activities are organized on a district basis.
