Welcome to the new look web site for the 1st Hardwick & Highfields Scout Group, we hope you find the information here useful and interesting. Across the top of the screen you will find the logos for the various sections, and if you click on them you will be taken to pages relating to that section, if you click on the scout association logo in the top left hand corner you will come back to this page.

At the side of the screen you will find another menu, with which you can navigate within each of these sections. If you are interested in joining, want more information, or would like to comment on the site in any way, please click on the "Contact Us" link and use the form provided to send us an email.

Centenary Challenge

As part of our Scouting Centenary Celebrations, we are setting a challenge for all members of the Group – Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Leaders and also Wildcat Explorers.

We are aiming to put up 100 photos in the Scout and Guide Hut, recording the places that we visit over the summer.

Here’s what you need to do:

If you go somewhere interesting this summer (anywhere at all – local, UK, Europe or further afield), take your neckerchief and woggle with you, and take a photo of yourself wearing it. Choose your locations carefully – they should be either somewhere recognisable (at an obvious landmark – eg. Big Ben etc) or somewhere that can be identified (next to a signpost/with you holding a map etc).

Print your photo/s and write on the back: your name, Scout Section and your location. Take your photo/s to your section meeting.

There will be some small prizes for the most interesting/ingenious photos.

So start planning your photo opportunities NOW and don’t forget to pack your necker!!
